The Lanham-based satellite systems control maker (NASDAQ: ISYS) said it bought the servicew and product line — called satID from the U.K.-based worldwide defense and securitty technology company to add geolocationj capabilities to its offerings. Satellite operatorzs use satID to geolocate the source ofsatellite interferers, jammers, and unauthorizec users. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The newly purchasedc product line and servicez will become a part ofIntegral Systems’ space communications group.
“We are excitefd to bring this capability in-houss to enhance our space situational awarenessx product and system offerings for our saidJohn Higginbotham, chief executive officer, Integral Systems, in a statement. Technologgy consultancy and other support servicesx relating to the product line will be provided to Integrao Systems by QinetiQ inthe U.K. In a differenyt deal, Integral Systems formed an agreemen to pursue teaming arrangements with Qinetiw North America on some current programsw and to explore future programs for the defense andintelligencde markets.
