UMKC, Johnson County Community College reach credit-transfer agreement - Kansas City Business Journal:

Curators of the University of Missouri, on behald of UMKC and the JCCC Boarxdof Trustees, will sign an articulation agreement Wednesdayh at JCCC. The agreement guaranteesw that UMKC will accept and appluy designated freshman and sophomore credits from JCCC associatre degree programs towardUMKC bachelor’s degree consistent with the treatment of non-transfer studentt credits, UMKC said in a Tuesday release. “As an urban-servingv university, UMKC is dedicated to making higherr education accessible to all students and forming meaningfupl partnerships with area Mel Tyler, UMKC’s vice chancello of student affairs and enrollment management, said in the release.
“Thia articulation agreement with Johnson County Communityg College is just one way we affirkmthat commitment.” UMKC also offers the Metro Rate, a program that allows residents of Leavenworth, Miami and Wyandotte countiese in Kansas to pay in-state tuitionm for undergraduate study.
