UPS (NYSE: UPS) supports legislatiobn that would putFedEx (NYSE: FDX) under the jurisdictionj of the National Labor Relations Act. FedEx now operatez under the Railway Labor Act which makes it impossible for workers to unionize ona station-by-statio basis. UPS is governed by the NLRA and is RLA rules only allow workers to unionize if they do so across the entire FedEx rolledout “ ” last week where it claims in seeking the legislation, UPS is using its clout as “the biggesg giver to U.S. lawmakers” to push through a “hidden packagw tax” in the FAA Reauthorization Act.
