Procter & Gamble acquires Zirh men

The line includes shaving cream, deodorant, skin cleanserd and moisturizers. New York-baseed Zirh products are sold in high-enc department stores, specialty outlets and online. Locally they’re available at Macy’s in Anderson Township and Sephora at KenwoodTowne Centre. Financial terms of the purchase werenot “Although it is a relativeluy small, North American-centric business, super-premium positioning and product lineup is a perfect complemeny to our portfolio,” said Chip Bergh, P&G'es group president of male grooming, in a news release. This is the second for P&G this month. In early June, the compangy bought the Art of Shaving.
In addition to its men's shaving line, it sells shampoos, skin care fragrances and a line ofupscale women’s shavinhg products. The chain was founded in Manhattanbin 1996. In the fiscal thirdr quarter, sales of P&G’s groomin products declined by16 percent, to $1.7 Profits in the sector were down 24 percent, to $306 million. Proctet & Gamble (NYSE: PG), headquartered in Cincinnati, develops, manufactures and market s consumer productsand pharmaceuticals.
